Leadership Development

Leadership has become more demanding. The pace of change in organisations is accelerating, AI is reshaping the way people work, and trust in leaders is at an all-time low. Many leaders developed their skills in a different era, and today’s challenges demand something more.

Full Colour works with organisations to develop leaders who are ready for today’s challenges, not yesterday’s. Our approach combines practical skills-based training with group coaching, enabling leaders to work through the real issues they face, not just theoretical scenarios.

At the centre of our work is the Full Colour Leadership Model ©, a proprietary framework that gives organisations a coherent, holistic approach to developing leadership capability that is genuinely fit for purpose.

The Full Colour Leadership Model ©

The Full Colour Leadership Model © provides a structured, evidence-informed approach to leadership development that is aligned to your organisation’s strategy, context and culture aspirations.

Rather than applying a generic programme, Full Colour works with you to identify the specific outcomes you need and then designs a bespoke plan around the elements of the Framework that move your leaders forward. Programmes can cover the full Model or focus on the components most relevant to your current priorities.

The Framework is built around four central modules that together give leaders a holistic set of skills and knowledge, and the confidence to lead effectively in today’s world:

Goals met, people empowered to do best work, people experience wellbeing and can achieve their potential

The framework supports your organisation's strategy, context and workplace culture aspirations.

Trust, Adaptability, Service, Resilience

Four central components give you a holistic approach to leadership that is fit for purpose in today's world.

Values driven behaviours, Inclusion

Practical tools help you deliver foundational elements of great leadership.

Issues we address in the Full Colour Framework

Below is a taste of what we cover. We tailor programmes to address issues you face today.

Values Driven Behaviour

How can you identify the gap between espoused values and how others experience you? What practical actions can you take to live your values fully?

Inclusion

What does inclusion mean in your organisation’s context? What skills do leaders need to be inclusive? How do you develop practical action plans to embed inclusive behaviours in your teams? What data should you collect to measure progress?

Trust

What leadership behaviours enhance and damage trust? How can you identify ways you unintentionally damage trust? What leadership elements create trust and how do you apply them? How do you support your teams to develop trusting relationships with peers?

Adaptability

What skills and behaviours do leaders need to be adaptable? What is an effective strategic approach to AI? How can leaders support their teams to be adaptable?

Resilience

What affects resilience? What actions can leaders take be more resilient? How can leaders build resilience in their teams? What does resilience mean in your context?

Service

What behaviours and competencies do leaders need to serve their organisations’ mission and goals? How do leaders instil service to mission within their teams?

How it works

Full Colour takes a structured but flexible approach to programme design. The starting point is always your organisation: your strategy, your culture aspirations and the specific leadership challenges you are facing right now.

Our approach will support you wherever you are now but is particularly helpful if your organisation is undergoing change, whether that is around growth, restructuring or pivoting your organisation to respond to changing demands in your sector.

Our approach deliberately combines leadership training with group coaching, because building new capability requires both structured input and supported application. Skills taught in isolation rarely embed; coaching creates the space for leaders to work through real challenges and lock learning into practice.

Working with you, Full Colour will identify:

  • The specific learning outcomes your leaders need from the programme and how these support your organisation to achieve its goals
  • The elements of the Full Colour Leadership Model © best suited to delivering those outcomes
  • The timeframe that works for your organisation
  • How the programme can be shaped to your budget

From this, Full Colour designs a bespoke leadership development programme, tested with you before delivery begins, to ensure it meets your needs. The plan sets out the specific tools and techniques to be taught, how group coaching will support and embed learning, how leaders will be supported to apply what they have learned, and how progress will be measured.

Programmes can be delivered in person or online, with a dedicated Programme Manager as your main point of contact throughout and a Programme Administrator who handles logistics.

Who we work with

Full Colour works with leaders and organisations who are serious about culture change and want to build the leadership capability to make it happen.

We work with organisations of all sizes across the public, private and third sectors. What our clients have in common is a belief that great leadership and a strong culture are key to organisational success.

Full Colour is a good fit if you want a partner who is genuinely on your side, who will make the work feel energising rather than burdensome, and who will leave you with solutions you can actually implement.

Programmes are well-suited to organisations that:

Want to build leadership capability that drives real, lasting culture change

Are navigating significant organisational change and need their leadership equipped to lead it

Want practical, embedded change rather than theory, and need a programme that connects directly to their mission, values and strategic priorities

Case Study: RSPB

RSPB had commissioned Full Colour to carry out an equity and inclusion audit: a deep dive into what was holding them back from being the truly inclusive organisation they aspired to be. RSPB understand how deeply inclusion matters to their ambitions to save nature from the crisis it faces. One of the audit’s findings was that while keen to be inclusive, its top team lacked core EDI competencies. The RSPB invited Full Colour back to develop and deliver an inclusive leadership development programme.

Full Colour created a bespoke programme to introduce key concepts and help the CEO, her line reports and the team reporting into them to turn these concepts into practical action, building on their existing leadership skills and locking into the RSPB’s mission and values. Leaders were supported to internalise their learning through group and 1:1 coaching.

Full Colour’s programme set the foundations for our leadership team that has enabled us to move forward in leaps and bounds. I see a lot of action to drive equity and inclusion happening across the RSPB that wasn’t happening before. You’ve lit a fire that is burning and will not go out.
