Culture Change Planning

What is it?

We use theory of change methodology to plan strategic and systematic plans that take you from where you are now on organisational culture, equity, diversity and inclusion to where you want to be. Through a series of structured workshops, we work to ensure we leave you with plans that are practical, affordable and achievable.

Who is it for?

Executive leaders who wish to drive meaningful change on organisational culture, equity, diversity and inclusion.

Why it matters?

Before we’ve worked with them, many clients had taken sincere but scattergun approaches to planning change on culture, equity, diversity and inclusion. The result? A huge waste of resources and lack of progress towards genuinely inclusive cultures, leaving those working towards change exhausted and disillusioned, and others cynical and sometimes distrustful of leaders’ commitment to creating great workplaces.

What makes us different?

Based on data about your starting point, Full Colour will work with you to develop a clear path to change. We will break this down into manageable steps that allow leaders to bring their organisation along with them on the journey. Working collaboratively, we will leave you with not only a plan but the confidence and competencies to drive change.

Case Study

The conservation sector was the second least ethnically diverse after farming. Wildlife and Countryside Link, the umbrella body for conservation organisations in England, decided a sector-wide approach was needed to change this. While many in the sector were keen to attract greater ethnic diversity, they simply did not know how.

Full Colour conducted detailed research to understand what was preventing progress and discovered the key to change was in evolving leadership capabilities on equity, diversity and inclusion and addressing organisational culture barriers. The sector is complex, including enormous and tiny organisations that were geographically spread and sometimes located in areas with low levels of ethnic diversity. Budgets and staffing resources for many organisations were also tight.

Working with a small Project Steering Group, Full Colour devised a route map to move the entire sector forward. The route map was tested as it was developed to ensure it addressed sector and organisational complexities. The route map was supported with detailed, step by step guidance from Full Colour on how to implement change.

Richard Benwell, CEO of Wildlife and Countryside Link said: “Full Colour made us realise that what had felt impossible was not only achievable but thrilling. Their practical approach enabled us to manage enormous complexity, and broke down our sector’s journey into manageable steps, with a clear North Star that everyone can aim for. We conducted a benchmarking exercise a year on and were excited to see the progress organisations had made. None of this would have been possible without Full Colour.”
